Must Love Dogs PDX: Celebrating One Year of Community and Connection!
November 1st marks an entire year since the beginning of Must Love Dogs PDX! What a year it has been—filled with countless puppy cuddles, joyful meetups, and opportunities to connect with Portland’s amazing pet community. This year has been all about discovery: learning from experience, listening to you, and adapting our mission to best serve dog lovers and owners in Portland. Today, we’re thrilled to share a few exciting updates on our journey and our new focus for 2025.
Our Mission Moving Forward
When we first began, Must Love Dogs PDX had a simple goal: to bring Portland dog owners and lovers together. Along the way, we discovered just how valuable that sense of community is. While we’ve absolutely loved providing pet care services, we’re ready to focus our efforts on something bigger—building spaces and resources that keep Portland’s pet community connected, supported, and thriving.
What’s New for 2025?
Moving into 2025, we’ll be focusing on creating community events, resources, and gatherings designed to bring people (and pups!) together. Here’s what you can look forward to:
Park Plays: Our Saturday morning dog park meetups aren’t going anywhere! These gatherings bring together dogs and their humans for fresh air, fun, and lots of pup playtime.
Resource Sharing: Supporting local dog businesses and nonprofits is part of who we are, and we’ll keep doing it by sharing resources and uplifting other pet-focused organizations in Portland.
Training Resources: We are proud to work with an excellent trainer, and we’ll continue connecting our community to trusted training resources to help with everything from puppy basics to behavioral tips.
Rehoming and Adoption Support: Whether it’s finding a new home for a beloved pet or adopting a new family member, we’ll continue to be here with advice and resources to help you every step of the way.
Dog Blog and Dog Shop: Our online store and blog are here to stay! We’ll continue providing helpful articles and products for Portland’s dedicated dog community.
Looking Forward to New Events!
In the spirit of connection, we’re excited to announce two new monthly events:
Single-Dog-Owner Mixers – A chance to meet fellow dog lovers and make new friends in the community.
POP: Pack of Professionals – A gathering for Portland pet professionals to share resources, collaborate, and address community needs together. If you’re interested in joining us or learning more, we’d love to hear from you!
